About the role As part of the Panel Support Team, Training Officers are responsible for ensuring Hearings Coordinators complete a comprehensive induction training programme and have opportunities for ongoing learning and development. Working collaboratively with the Senior Training Advisor, Training Officers will ensure the training they design and deliver provides Hearings Coordinators with the knowledge, skills, and behaviours required to deliver their role to the highest standard. Training Officers proactively manage a case load of learners, working collaboratively with the Hearings Team to progress Hearings Coordinators and support capacity to deliver all types of virtual and physical Fitness to Practise hearings and meetings. Working with the wider Panel Support Training Team, Training Officers support in the development, design, and delivery of induction and ongoing training for Panel Members, Legal Assessors, and other internal and external stakeholders as required. About you Youll have working knowledge and experience of Fitness to Practise hearings and meetings, or other similar settings such as disciplinary panels, employment tribunals, or the courts. Youll have a passion for supporting and facilitating people to learn and develop, through the development, design, and delivery of engaging face-to-face and virtual training sessions. Through the development, design, and delivery of training materials and training sessions, youll have the ability to cut through complexity, helping our learners to understand the role of the NMC, our regulatory functions, and the process of our hearings and meetings. Youll be a confident communicator and presenter, able to deliver training sessions and presentations to a wide range of stakeholders and senior stakeholders. Youll be organised and proactive in management of your own case load of trainees. Youll develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with trainees and their managers. Applying your sensitivity and tact, youll support specific training needs by giving your advice, support, and recommendations.
