Today, it employs over 2,000 dedicated team members, each playing a vital role in Toyota's continued success.

As Toyota's flagship European site, the UK division is a critical part of the company's global operations, contributing an impressive £3 billion to the group's £210 billion annual turnover. TMUK is internationally renowned for its pioneering approach, consistently leading the way with cutting-edge technologies that give it a competitive edge. The site is home to five manufacturing shops—Press, Body, Paint, Plastics, and Assembly—each with its own nuances and unique challenges. From precision stamping in Press to final vehicle construction in Assembly, every shop plays a critical role in the production process.

About the role

As a CNC machinist you will be responsible for machining parts within a press environment including die steels. You will also be responsible for using CNC machinery to support with maintenance tasks around the factory.

  • Setting and operating of CNC machinery.
  • Reverse engineering of parts.
  • Construct 3D models AND 3D part scanning.
  • Reading engineering drawings.
  • 20% of this role will be working within a tool and die capacity (Full training given).
  • Preparation and maintenance of existing tooling.
  • Attending to breakdown on press tooling.
  • Supporting with the production of new press tooling.
  • Mechanical strip and rebuilding.
  • Welding (Stainless steel/TIG) & Laser (Training given).

About you

To be considered for this CNC machinist role, you should have previous experience working within a similar capacity. Ideally, this would be within a manufacturing/workshop environment.

  • Recognised level 3 engineering qualification.
  • Experience interpreting engineering drawings.
