TPF Recruitment, Kent’s leading accountancy practice recruitment agency, are supporting an excellent Top 20 chartered accountancy practice based in Sittingbourne who are looking for an Accounts Manager to join their experienced team across a mixed accounts and tax portfolio. Our client is a very friendly firm who have been established in the Kent market for many years.
As an Accounts and Tax Manager, you will report directly into the partners and be responsible for a mixed client portfolio made up of sole traders, partnerships and Ltd companies. You will have the autonomy to manage your portfolio as you wish, and you will also work closely with a team of expert tax advisors who will support you with more complicated advisory work. This is a great position with a fast-growing business who promote a great work life balance and offer excellent future prospects.
You will be responsible for:
- Managing your own client portfolio and client relations
- Prepare and review annual statutory accounts and tax returns
- Oversee and review the work of more junior staff and bookkeepers
- Support with general business and tax planning advice
- Support with onboarding new clients and assisting in the growth and development of the accounts department
- Opportunity to do management accounts, subject to experience and interest
Requirements:
- You will be ACA/ACCA or qualified by experience with at least 5 years’ experience within practice.
- You will have worked as an Accounts Senior/ Assistant Manager/ Client Manager or Manager within a practice environment and have hands-on experience of accounts, tax and VAT.
