What You Will Be Doing

1. Develop and implement strategies to drive improvements in the application of compliance policies and procedures by LBO teams, Operations Managers, and Compliance Analyst teams to support consistent delivery of policy and agreed risk appetite.
2. Responsible for identifying areas for transformational improvement, with a focus on technical change and increased use of artificial intelligence and automation.
3. Working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure practical application and processes are consistent with stated policies and procedures, creating a culture of continuous progression through ownership of relevant processes to drive improvements to the compliant environment through policy change.
4. Lead and manage teams of compliance analysts, providing support and guidance to ensure suitable levels of technical knowledge are accumulated and fully utilized, whilst forecasting the extent and impact of compliance change to update the team’s operating model accordingly.
5. Responsible for understanding the implications of compliance change on team workloads and implementing risk mitigation strategies where required and for completing dynamic risk management of operational tasks to mitigate and minimize potential breaches, escalating where developing situations have potential to be outside of risk appetite.
6. Responsible for representing the business with regulatory bodies, industry associations, and other external stakeholders, providing subject matter expertise to senior management and other internal stakeholders.

Who We Are Looking For

1. Technical understanding of non-remote regulatory requirements for anti-money laundering, customer due diligence, and safer gambling applicable to the UK and Jersey.
2. Strong knowledge of compliance frameworks and industry best practices.
3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to interact at all levels.
4. Highly analytical, with excellent problem-solving skills and logical reasoning.
