Smart Contract Engineer (Co-Founder Role – Equity Only)

Location: Remote Commitment: Part-time to full-time Compensation: Equity / Token Allocation (No salary at this stage) NeonNonce is a crypto-native gambling protocol on Solana, building a permissionless on-chain casino that offers provably fair games and peer-to-peer betting. We operate at the intersection of blockchain infrastructure, game theory, and DeFi-native UX. We are currently seeking a Founding Smart Contract Engineer to join our core team. This is a co-founder position with no salary initially, but with significant ownership and influence over the direction of the protocol and product. Responsibilities Design, build, and test Solana smart contracts (preferably using Anchor) Implement core game mechanics such as dice, slots, and peer-to-peer wagering Integrate randomness systems (e.g., Switchboard, Pyth, VRF) Contribute to the design of the token system ($NONCE): staking, governance, and game incentives Collaborate on architecture, protocol design, and security reviews Work closely with the front-end team to ensure smooth wallet-native UX Requirements Deep experience with Rust and Solana development (Anchor framework preferred) Familiarity with Solana architecture, SPL tokens, and on-chain randomness Strong understanding of smart contract security and DeFi principles Demonstrated ability to ship clean, reliable, and maintainable code Entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to build from zero Ability to work autonomously and make high-level technical decisions What We Offer Generous equity/token allocation tied to contribution and long-term commitment The opportunity to lead the development of core smart contract systems and influence protocol architecture from day one A lean and fast-moving team of experienced builders and strategists The chance to build a novel, crypto-native gambling protocol with full transparency and on-chain logic at its core If you’re excited about building in the open, pushing on-chain UX forward, and redefining how gambling works in Web3, we’d love to speak with you.
