Timeplan Education is recruiting a Qualified Teacher to join a Secondary PMLD school in Hillingdon on a permanent basis. The role will be on a full-time basis until the end of the academic year and you will be responsible for planning and delivering all core subjects.

The role would involve planning and leading lessons, completing reports as well as managing the three other support staff in the classroom.

The ideal teacher will be someone who can remain calm when challenging behaviours arise and someone who can build positive professional relationships with the students and support them with the challenges they face.

Specifically, the school is looking for someone who has significant experience working in an SEND school and someone who is creative, fun and can plan and deliver engaging lessons that promote independence.

You will need to demonstrate willingness to support children positively in all situations including their medical and sensory needs as well as challenging behaviours.

Job Responsibilities
  • Comfortable leading interactive lessons

Job Requirements
  • QTS
  • Experience teaching in SEN schools
  • Experience working with children with SEN and SEMH
  • Able to de-escalate and support emotional regulation
  • Valid DBS registered with the online update service or be willing to apply for a new one
  • Available 5 days a week and able to commit to at least 12-39 weeks
