Are you an experienced Cabinet Maker looking to join a reputable and expanding manufacturing company? Our client, based near Southminster, is seeking a skilled individual to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with hands-on cabinet making experience, particularly with edgebanders.
Salary & Working Hours:
- Competitive hourly rate: Up to 15.00 (dependent on experience)
- Full-time, 40 hours per week
- Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm
- Permanent role (subject to a 13-week probationary period)
Key Duties:
- Assembling cabinets and performing general woodworking tasks
- Preparing drawers and doors, including drilling and hinge fitting
- Operating an edgebander
- Conducting quality control checks
- Pre-assembly work and general workshop preparation
- Loading completed products into vans for delivery
- Manual handling and lifting as part of the role
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Previous experience in cabinet making or a similar woodworking role
- Excellent attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship
- Able to work well both independently and within a team
- Background in kitchen or fitted furniture production (beneficial but not essential)
- Proactive, reliable, and able to perform under pressure
