They are currently seeking a hands-on and experienced Fire Alarm Supervisor to lead a team of engineers delivering works across wired and wireless fire alarm systems, Automatic Opening Vents (AOVs), and emergency lighting. The role involves both supervising and assisting with installations, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of fire safety systems across multiple sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise fire alarm installation and maintenance projects, ensuring compliance with BS5839 and BS5266 standards
  • Install, maintain, and commission a range of systems including wired/wireless fire alarms, AOVs, and emergency lighting
  • Carry out site audits, toolbox talks, and quality checks to ensure high standards are maintained
  • Coordinate with clients, site teams, and office-based staff to manage workloads and meet project deadlines
  • Provide technical support and mentoring to junior engineers
  • Ensure all H&S procedures and documentation are followed correctly on site

Requirements

  • Proven experience working with fire alarm systems, AOVs, and emergency lighting
  • Experience leading or supervising teams on-site within fire safety or M&E environments
  • Strong working knowledge of relevant British Standards and fire safety regulations
  • Relevant electrical/fire alarm qualifications (e.g., FIA Units, ECS/CSCS, 18th Edition preferred)
  • Full UK Driving Licence
