Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of individuals affected by opiate use? We’re currently recruiting for an experienced Opiate Recovery Coordinator to join a dedicated team providing vital support to those on their recovery journey.
About the Role:
As an Opiate Recovery Coordinator, you’ll work closely with service users to develop and deliver personalised recovery plans. You'll provide one-to-one keyworking support, complete comprehensive assessments, and coordinate access to appropriate treatments and interventions – including substitute prescribing, psychosocial interventions, and harm reduction services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of service users with opiate misuse issues
- Carry out comprehensive assessments and risk management plans
- Develop and review individual recovery care plans
- Provide regular keyworking sessions and liaise with prescribers and clinical teams
- Support service users in accessing detox, rehab, and wider support services
- Maintain accurate case notes and ensure compliance with service standards
- Work in partnership with external agencies, including housing, mental health and criminal justice services
Requirements:
- Experience working in drug and alcohol services, specifically with opiate users
- Strong understanding of substance misuse, safeguarding, and recovery models
- Excellent communication, motivational interviewing, and record-keeping skills
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and best practice guidelines
- [Desirable] Relevant qualification in Health and Social Care, Substance Misuse, or equivalent
