Car Planet, one of the UK’s fastest growing car retailers (1500+ cars in stock) is looking for a talented Parts Advisor to join the team.
We are looking for a dedicated and knowledgeable Vehicle Parts Advisor to join our team and help maintain our reputation for excellence.
As a Vehicle Parts Advisor, you will be an integral part of our team, responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, managing inventory efficiently, and collaborating closely with our service department to ensure seamless operations.
- Supplier Relationships: Establish and maintain positive relationships with suppliers to negotiate favorable terms and ensure the availability of high-quality parts.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and manage stock levels, order new stock, and track inventory to ensure optimal levels are maintained.
- Parts Identification: Use catalogues and software to accurately identify the correct parts for various vehicles.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the service department to ensure timely and accurate delivery of parts for repair jobs, facilitating effective communication between departments.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of parts transactions, inventory updates, and supplier communications.
Requirements
- Experience: Previous experience as a Parts Advisor or in a similar role within the automotive industry.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of automotive parts and systems.
- Customer Service Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Technology: Proficient in using parts catalogues, inventory management software, and supplier management systems.
- Organization: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Negotiation Skills: Ability to negotiate effectively with suppliers to secure the best terms and prices.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy parts and perform physical tasks as needed.
Compensation Package
Basic up to £35k (depending on experience)
Working Days
Week 1 - 5 days (Mon – Fri)
Week 2 – 6 days (Mon – Sat)
Working Hours
Monday to Friday: 08:30 – 18:00
Saturday: 09:00 – 14:00
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £27,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
