The Royal Academy of Music in London is seeking a full-time People Partner for its Human Resources department. This permanent role, offering a salary of £41,769 per annum inclusive of London Allowance, is based in central London and involves a hybrid working arrangement with a minimum of 2–3 days in the Academy. The position is available for immediate start.
The HR department, catering to approximately 600 teaching and professional services staff, requires a pro-active, self-motivated, and highly organised individual for this role. The People Partner will be responsible for managing the employee lifecycle for both professional services and teaching staff and supporting the delivery of the Academy’s strategy. This includes providing high-quality advice on complex HR issues and building strong, trusted relationships across the institution.
Candidates should have substantial experience in delivering proactive HR solutions across the full employee lifecycle, including managing complex HR cases. Experience in higher education or the arts is desirable, along with innovative ideas to enhance existing practices. Essential skills include solid IT proficiency, attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication, and a friendly and engaging demeanour.
