Job role/duties:
- Employ improvements in safety, efficiency, utilisation and housekeeping
- Implement best practice solutions to optimise yield and reduce non-value-added processing or activities
- Optimise methods of manufacturing and layout of tooling/rigging
- Upgrade and maintain NPI to ensure all manufacturing data is logged, with finishing instructions and packaging
- Track on-time deliveries
- Liaise with subcontract tooling engineers and pattern-shops
- Liaise with customers, machinists, sub-contract casting processors
- Adopt and utilise flow and solidification simulation software
- Troubleshoot existing and new parts
- Optimise tooling design and cost to achieve the required product performance
- Method optimisation
- Casting design improvement
- Maintain the development of BOM
- Collaborate, support and manage a CRM system to track projects and new developments
- Assist in Six Sigma implementation
To be considered for this role you MUST:
- Have proven ability to contribute, coordinate and achieve change and drive improvements
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Have experience in the application of quality tools essential to NPI such as DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plans and Process & Quality auditing
- Be confident using MS Office
