40-hour week (days)

Job role/duties:

  • Employ improvements in safety, efficiency, utilisation and housekeeping
  • Implement best practice solutions to optimise yield and reduce non-value-added processing or activities
  • Optimise methods of manufacturing and layout of tooling/rigging
  • Upgrade and maintain NPI to ensure all manufacturing data is logged, with finishing instructions and packaging
  • Track on-time deliveries
  • Liaise with subcontract tooling engineers and pattern-shops
  • Liaise with customers, machinists, sub-contract casting processors
  • Adopt and utilise flow and solidification simulation software
  • Troubleshoot existing and new parts
  • Optimise tooling design and cost to achieve the required product performance
  • Method optimisation
  • Casting design improvement
  • Maintain the development of BOM
  • Collaborate, support and manage a CRM system to track projects and new developments
  • Assist in Six Sigma implementation

To be considered for this role you MUST:

  • Have proven ability to contribute, coordinate and achieve change and drive improvements
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Have experience in the application of quality tools essential to NPI such as DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plans and Process & Quality auditing
  • Be confident using MS Office
