Working in a hybrid style, based at home and at 21 City Square, Dundee, you will work full time, 37 hours per week.

Requirements

  • You will have LLB Degree in Scots Law and Diploma in Legal Practice.

Responsibilities

You will assist in the provision of all legal and associated services to the Council, its Committees, Services, staff and, where appropriate, to any organisation in which the Council has an interest. This will include advising and representing the Council in court proceedings, tribunals and inquiries, licensing and in all matters relating to the protection of vulnerable adults and children.

The Individual

  • You will have completed your legal traineeship and have good basic experience in relevant areas of work.
  • You will have good oral and written communication skills.
  • You will also have organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work under pressure and manage and motivate others.
  • You will be willing to undertake appropriate job related training if required and you will also be flexible and adaptable to change.

A Level 2 - Standard Disclosure Scotland Check is required.
