Sports Assistant

Role Overview

Our client is seeking a Sports Graduate who is enthusiastic about contributing to a dynamic and forward-thinking educational environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the physical education department.

Term-time only

Key Responsibilities

• Leading and assisting with regular sports clubs and training sessions with a focus on areas of personal sporting expertise.
• Acting as a lifeguard during ensuring pupil safety during all aquatic activities.
• Helping with the preparation and organisation of sports equipment
• Assisting in the delivery of curriculum-based physical education and games lessons alongside teaching staff.
• On occasion, delivering practical sports lessons to cover staff absence.
• Assisting with the planning and delivery of sports events, as well as supporting the day-to-day administration and operational needs of the sports department.

Requirements

• Degree in sports science or similar
• Experience working in an educational setting is desirable
• Lifeguard qualification
• Ability to deliver outstanding, engaging and fun practical Sport lessons.
• Attainment and maintenance of skills and knowledge/accreditation for the role
• A true passion for sport
