We apply a flexible and collaborative approach to working with and learning from our customers, supply partners and each other and offer intensive personal growth and learning opportunities.The opportunity: A new opportunity exists for a multi-talentedCloud Software Engineer– Industrial Microgrid Systemsto join the team.The Candidate Will Have: A university degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related subject; Alternatively, long-standing professional experience in software engineering.Relevant design experience or theoretical knowledge in the following areas:Industrial, utility (or other technical infrastructure) systems monitoring or controlAn understanding of engineering fundamentals of energy, utility and industrial systemsDesigning, developing, and executing industrial User Interfaces and Experiences (UI/UX)Software frameworks: Both.NET with C# for Windows Forms GUI developments; Blazor would be a plus.Javascript frameworks (React.JS, Node.JS or Angular.JS) for Web-GUI developmentCloud front-end and back-end development, ideally with Amazon Web ServiceDatabasesCloud-based architectures and applicationsOther software-tech experience that would be a plus:Agile Software development and DevOps (using Github and JIRA)Fundamentals of utility SCADAGeneral knowledge and skills:Practical skills to set-up and conduct tests on control system hardware and join large-scale power systems tests together with power systems engineersA hands-on delivery-oriented approach with an ability to problem-solve project issues autonomously and wholisticallyFlexibility to adapt to new programming languages and tools and an existing codebaseTeamwork; reporting to the Head of Software EngineeringStrong interpersonal skills and an ability to work to challenging deadlinesAbility to travel, occasionally for multiple daysAbility to navigate a scale-up company environment, i.e. to work with limited support functions and within the framework of developing teams, processes, and resourcesEmotional intelligence when working with project stakeholders, external and internalOutstanding professional conduct and verbal & written communication skillsAn Australian residency, or suitable valid visa for at least 1 year – Sponsoring for a subsequent work visa is possible.By the end of this year, you will have: Reporting to the Head of SW-Engineering, you will have:Developed a firm understanding of PowerTec’s Microgrid and Battery Energy Storage (BESS) solutions, as well as the PaDECS control system through peer-to-peer coaching and learning on the jobSuccessfully, timely and compliant with the PowerTec solution concepts and pre-existing versions, carried out the delivery of all aspects related to the PaDECS-Cloud platform interface functional and graphic detail design, including the \’back-end\’ data handling, architecture design, coding per specification, integration testing, functional verification testing and documentation of:Extensions of to the PaDECS Cloud-application (in Amazon Web Services) for aggregated Microgrid monitoring and control (Front-end only, optionally full-stack)Analysed the existing end-to-end code base in conjunction with the head of SW-Engineering and supported deployments, updates and bug-fixesCreated a well-documented, version-controlled repository for joint ongoing development and customer documentation of the delivered software and interfacesImproved the tool landscape, design standards and DevOps process for the PaDECS productSupported development and site commissioning activities and occasionally travelled to customer’s power systems sites for PowerTec existing and new projects.To apply for this opportunity, please send your meaningful cover letter, CV, references, education certificates, transcripts and desired remuneration tocareers@power-tec.com.au, quoting referencePT-SJ-PT 24-0301.#J-18808-Ljbffr
