TML Recruitment are delighted to be partnered with one of our longest standing clients, a UK wide, multi-disciplinary property practice with over £70m in turnover and 20+ offices. We are assisting them in their search for a lease advisory expert to focus on the industrial sector, but with opportunity to work on all commercial assets. This strategic hire will be at either Associate or salaried Partner/Director level to aid the growth of their London based professional division. This role will act as the go between the head of department and the more junior surveyors in the team.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING IN THIS ROLE?
Reporting into the Regional head of lease advisory, you will be responsible for a variety of landlord and tenant instructions across Central London and the South East. You will cover a variety of asset classes, but with a focus on building the industrial sector. Working closely with the industrial agency/investment team, your main mandate will be to aid the growth of the L&T business unit which has 5 people in it. Whilst the business has significant work to run at, you will help with developing client relationships utilising the extensive network of the wider business and should you want to in time, taking on leadership opportunities. Further brief responsibilities listed below:
- Advising on rent reviews, lease renewals, lease regears, Dispute Resolution, lease advice in sale and leaseback transactions, rental valuations and third party referrals, including the preparation of submissions to both Independent Expert and Arbitrators.
- Proactive in developing client relationships.
- Aid the development of team and nurture grads through APC.
- Handle tenders and fee proposals for new business.
- Act on own initiative, work with autonomy as well as within the Commercial Lease Advisory and other connected service line teams.
WHAT EXPERIENCE IS NEEDED?
- MRICS/FRICS and (ideally) RICS Registered Valuer
- Proven experience across L&T matters.
- Some experience in the industrial sector or want to get involved in this.
- Willingness to oversee and assist junior colleagues, some management experience ideal but not essential.
- Demonstrable communication skills, with excellent manner both in person and virtually.
