Our client, a leading player in the manufacturing sector, is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Finance Manager for a permanent role. The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing the company’s financial records, ensuring accuracy in accounting, and compliance with legal standards. Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain general ledger to trial balance and ensure all transactions are properly recorded.
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances.
  • Manage banking, including payments and bank reconciliations.
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, including credit control.
  • Manage weekly and monthly payroll processes.
  • Support external audits, ensuring timely delivery of audit requirements.
  • Analyse and report on trends (sales, margin and overheads).
  • Monthly reporting and budgeting.
  • Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support.
  • Manage Inward Processing Relief process and reporting.

Skills & Experience:

  • Accountancy qualification (AAT minimum), or QBE.
  • Proven experience in a similar role (ideally from an engineering or manufacturing background).
  • Proficient in accounting and payroll software (currently use Access Supply Chain and Sage Payroll).
  • Excellent Excel skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
