We’re especially strong in consumer packaged goods with direct-to-consumer eCommerce and Marketplace models, but our growing team has experience across everything from utilities to high-end fashion. Our skills and experience can be brought to bear on all business functions from Brand & Marketing, Trading & Operations, Tech & Insight and Finance & Talent; we effectively mirror our clients’ organisation.

In your role, you’ll be responsible for leading the strategic vision and leadership across the overall process and delivery of all paid media project output to successfully deliver projects from briefing, channel campaign set up through to insightful reporting, to drive increased performance and revenues from new and existing customers for your multiple clients/brands.

You’ll also lead on the day-to-day management and coaching of direct reports and team to improve on internal operational efficiencies to innovate TGF’s Paid Media offerings - from growing client accounts, to securing new business opportunities to grow the function’s revenue streams.

Your role will also include:

  • Overseeing the strategic planning, development and best practice execution from the team across all Paid channels including PPC, paid social, affiliate marketing and programmatic etc. for our clients/brands, identifying opportunities for growth and expansion, whilst also demonstrating and creating efficiencies through effective frameworks and processes.
  • Defining, measuring, and evaluating relevant paid media KPIs for clients and own internal teams.
  • Leading in the roll-out and improvements of all paid media practices, researching and implementing relevant industry knowledge and case studies to support this.
  • Providing strategic direction for the team’s business offerings into new areas - staying up to date with platform and industry changes, launching new platforms over time.
  • Driving efficiencies across the team’s output through consistent auditing - monitoring and making changes to systems and current workflows to automate our practices further to try and generate more profits/yield from our inputs.
  • Managing client growth - includes client relationships, client retention, satisfaction and loyalty obtaining feedback at regular intervals along with client temp checks, and identifying areas of opportunity to support client growth.
  • Performing channel specific audits to new and existing clients summarising a top level review and recommendations for growth as well as detailing proposals of team advisory/fractional support to allow clients to drive forward and deliver the recommendations outlined.
  • Actively making referrals to our partner/referral network and developing strategic partnerships with key media partners and platforms/agencies where relevant for our clients.
  • Building and maintaining strong working relationships with internal GF team, client base and third-party stakeholders, agencies and partners.
  • Being responsible for your team’s development - managing a team of three (from exec to senior manager level) you’ll work with each member to develop professional development goals and support them in achieving these through coaching, training, holding regular check ins to discuss progress as well as provide opportunities for growth within the PM team.
  • Working strategically and at times on an executional level (supporting teammates where necessary) as well as mentoring and up-skilling across the client base or the internal TGF team.

You will ultimately be responsible for the day-to-day management of the team, delivery and executional output of your client/brands paid media channels and campaigns, while understanding the ‘perfect’ blend that drives the best traffic to your sales channels - and which ones are the best at conversion.

About You

  • Have at least 5+ years experience across paid social, paid search, affiliates, and display marketing, leading the paid media strategy of a team - and bring drive, passion and fresh ideas to the team.
  • Have managed multiple paid media accounts working towards client's goals on a direct retainer or performance basis level (agency experience is essential).
  • Extensive knowledge of paid media methodologies and techniques.
  • Are a deep subject matter expert in paid media delivery within the team, having an agency wide influence on paid media and be at the forefront of new business input that requires paid media expertise (including creation of material and pitching).
  • You’ll be confident in building strong relationships, both internally and externally and be personable and collaborative with a powerful personal drive to deliver project excellence.
  • Substantial experience across the breadth of social media and other marketing channels: Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, Snapchat, Paid Search and Display.
  • Experience or exposure to alternative marketing channels such as OOH, influencer campaigns, podcast campaigns etc. is desirable, but not essential.
  • Are ‘natural retailer’; obsessed with delivering your promise to customers.
  • Apply CPA methodology at the heart of everything you do.
  • Understand how to maximise output in media activity.
  • Have superior analytical skills to track and manage performance, with analytical tools such as Google Analytics or equivalent.
  • Great understanding of the technical and analytical elements of all relevant digital platforms, including a deep understanding of how these have changed post-iOS14.
  • Provide strategic direction for the Paid Media team and for the agency's business offerings into new areas.
  • Proven experience in retaining clients/retainers, winning new business and cross selling/up selling when appropriate.
  • Substantial experience of managing and developing a team (from exec, manager to senior manager level).
  • Extensive in-depth knowledge of the capabilities of paid search, programmatic display and paid social marketing platforms.
  • A strong understanding of attribution models and the ability to guide clients on what works best for them as a business.
  • Experience of supporting and helping grow revenue with upsells or new business when the time has been right for the client.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to ever-changing technologies and environment.
  • Strong presentation skills, being able to talk confidently on marketing platforms and tactics.
  • Excellent communicator and negotiator - being able to speak with authority to clients and colleagues and to simplify complex challenges.
