We are excited to advertise a brand new position for a Quantity Surveyor / Estimator to join a leading Civil Engineering Contractor with a 25 year history and a current turnover of circa £65m annually. Our client is an expert in their field and are proud to now have a team of over 400 skilled professionals. Their expertise spans various areas of civil engineering - from large-scale excavations to intricate structural projects. As our client continues to expand, we're seeking a talented Quantity Surveyor / Estimator on their behalf, to join a team at the HQ based local to Burley, Hampshire.

Quantity Surveyor Estimator Duties:

  • Point of Contact for all surveying / estimating queries, concerns, or actions on a project
  • Ensure full compliance with contractual responsibilities
  • Assisting in Preparation, submission, and agreement of contract tenders / submission.
  • Working with the surveying / estimating teams with preparation, submission and agreement of project variations, claims, and design change
  • Preparation of project forecasts and cost plans
  • Comply with company and departmental procedures and deadlines.
  • Prepare and submit accurate reports that analyse and demonstrate the profitability and commercial progress of a project.
  • Work in collaboration with procurement and site management teams

Quantity Surveyor Estimator Criteria:

  • Can demonstrate 3 years + in Surveying of UK residential groundworks projects.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
  • Advanced in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Working Knowledge of Bluebeam or similar construction software system
