Are you a highly skilled Telecoms Design Engineer with a passion for wireless communications and in-building coverage? We’re looking for a DAS Design Engineer to join our dynamic Design team on a 6-month contract basis. If you have a deep understanding of RF propagation, site selection, and integrating macro, DAS, or Neutral Host systems, we’d love to hear from you.
As an In-Building DAS Design Engineer, you’ll be responsible for creating pre- and post-sales designs for Distributed Antenna Systems and Neutral Host in-building solutions. You’ll analyze survey data, review building layouts, and design systems that deliver strong and reliable indoor cellular coverage.
Key Responsibilities
- Design & Implementation: Create comprehensive DAS designs including equipment selection, layout, and system architecture.
- System Integration: Ensure seamless integration with existing wireless networks.
- Testing & Optimization: Review RF testing and site surveys to refine performance and ensure optimal coverage.
- Documentation: Produce detailed technical documents, system diagrams, and reports.
- Collaboration: Work with project managers, commercial teams, and clients to meet project goals.
- Compliance: Ensure all systems meet industry standards and regulatory frameworks (e.g. JOTS).
The successful DAS Design Engineer will have:
- Proven Experience: Extensive background as a Telecoms Design Engineer, especially in DAS and in-building systems.
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field.
- Skilled with RF design tools; knowledgeable in fibre optic/coaxial cable installs and DAS commissioning.
- iBwave Design or DAS-related certifications highly desirable.
- Clear and effective communicator—both written and verbal.
- Open to occasional site visits for surveys and installations.
