The Edinburgh International Festival is looking for an experienced, passionate and dedicated Head of Staging to join the team.
Head of Staging (Fixed term, May 2025 to September 2025)
£44,000 to £48,000 pro rata
The role of Head of Staging is integral to the delivery of the Edinburgh International Festival. The person for the role must be an excellent communicator and able to negotiate directly with visiting companies, both nationally and internationally. They will manage, delegate, and supervise a team, which will vary depending on the demand of that year’s festival programme. The job demands the utmost attention to detail during preparation and planning stages, which will be relied upon during the pressured and concentrated three-week festival period. Candidates should demonstrate excellent knowledge of their field, being able to offer solutions with reference to up-to-date practices and ensuring the Edinburgh International Festival delivers at the highest level.
35 hours per week, by agreement within standard office hours of 9.30 to 17.30, Monday to Friday. At peak times, and particularly immediately before and during the International Festival, it will be necessary to work outside standard hours and at weekends, and working hours will increase as required. However, the working hours will not exceed the Working Time Directive rules. All hours are to be agreed with the Head of Production.
