We are recruiting for a highly experienced Nurse Manager to join The London Clinic as Head of Nursing Operations for Medical and Surgical Care. This is a high-profile Band 8b role with significant scope and visibility, suited to someone with a strong operational track record in acute care nursing. - Job Type: This is a full-time, permanent position working 37.5 hours per week.
- Salary: Band 8b
- Location: 20 Devonshire Place, Marylebone, W1G 6BW

About the role
The Head of Nursing Operations is responsible for the operational, quality, and safety management of our inpatient nursing services, including ward nursing, Clinical Nurse Specialists, critical care, pre-assessment, and the clinical site team. You will lead the end-to-end delivery of inpatient medical and surgical care pathways, ensuring safe, effective, and compassionate care throughout the patient journey. Working in close partnership with senior stakeholders, including the Chief Operating Officer, Chief Nurse, Medical Director and Heads of Service, you will play a key role in workforce planning, service improvement, and operational excellence. You will also collaborate closely with the Head of Operations for Theatres, Endoscopy and Interventional Radiology to ensure integrated, efficient service delivery across the wider hospital. With a focus on performance, governance, and continuous improvement, you will drive standards while maintaining a strong clinical voice in strategic decision-making. This role is part of the Silver On-Call rota and offers a visible leadership opportunity within a fast-paced, patient-focused environment.
