As New Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for establishing, leading and driving new business growth opportunities across our portfolio. You will play a key role in expanding our customer base by generating high-quality leads and converting them into long-term, profitable business revenue. You will excel in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and possess a strong \”hunter\” mentality, thriving in a target-driven atmosphere. With a passion for finding and driving new business development and a proven track record of closing deals, this role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the company\’s growth trajectory.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Driving the expansion of our product portfolio in the commodity lines sector
  • Identifying, generating and qualifying leads through targeted outreach and market research – cold calling capability and confidence is critical to this role
  • Converting leads into long-term, profitable client relationships, understanding their needs and presenting tailored solutions
  • Leading all aspects of the sales cycle – initial contact to deal closure, with appropriate account management administration tasks
  • Developing and maintaining robust pipeline of prospects, ensuring continuous flow of business opportunities
  • C ollaborating with marketing and design department, ensuring literature is up to date and relevant to target market
  • Developing and implementing strategies to increase market share and business revenue
  • Collaborating with internal teams, aligning product offerings with client needs and market trends
  • Collaborating with Operations, Logistics and Procurement teams, ensuring product availability, timely delivery and quality assurance
  • Reporting and forecasting
  • Tracking and reporting on business development activities – lead generations, sales performance and market insights via CRM platform
  • Creating forecasts and sales reports for management to assess business growth and trends

To be successful in this role, we are looking for:

· Packaging industry knowledge

· Knowledge of distributor model within industry

· Demonstrable success at lead generation and conversion into new business

· Hunger to grow revenue and unlock new opportunities

· Entrepreneurial, \”Can Do\” / \”Hunter\” mindset

· Excellent interpersonal skills

· Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or a similar relevant field is desirable

Ideally based within a commutable distance to site in the first instance – You must be prepared for regular travel, including overnight stays, to attend customer meetings
