Role Summary

Our client, a leading commercial property advisory firm specialising in the leasing of non-residential properties, is seeking an Interim Financial Controller to join their collaborative and fast-paced team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly capable finance professional to take on a pivotal role within a dynamic, high-performing real estate environment.

In this position, you’ll be responsible for managing and verifying rate demands, maintaining detailed occupancy schedules, liaising with local billing authorities, and supporting the team with the production of monthly financial reports and budgets for clients. You’ll also support broader strategic initiatives across treasury, capital planning, and acquisitions, acting as a key financial steward across the business.

Key Requirements

  • FCA qualification (or equivalent senior finance designation)
  • Demonstrated experience in financial control within real estate, REITs, or related asset-heavy industries
  • Hands-on involvement in Yardi system migration or similar ERP implementations
  • Strong treasury expertise, including cash management, long-term forecasting, and oversight of group funding structures and banking relationships
  • Proven ability to manage capital planning, support M&A activity (particularly small business acquisitions), and lead divisional balance sheet governance
  • Experience managing or liaising with outsourced service providers (e.g., fund administrators or shared services)
  • Skilled in producing board-level reporting and managing relationships with senior stakeholders
  • Analytical mindset with sound commercial judgement and a solutions-oriented approach
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, hands-on environment with evolving priorities
