Totum is delighted to be working with this leading law firm to find a Senior Business Development Manager to support its market-leading IP Litigation practice. This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-performing, collaborative team and lead business development efforts for one of the firm’s most strategically important global groups.
The firm’s Intellectual Property Litigation team advises many of the world’s most innovative companies on protecting their assets, products and market share through complex IP litigation.
In this senior-level role, you will work closely with practice leadership and the wider business development function to define and implement a forward-thinking BD strategy that strengthens client relationships, drives profile and supports international growth.
Key Responsibilities- Work in partnership with the Global Head of Business Development – Disputes and practice leaders to shape and execute business development strategy.
- Lead the development and delivery of marketing and BD plans that reflect global priorities and market trends.
- Manage pitches, client events, thought leadership and other client-facing initiatives.
- Collaborate with BD colleagues across sectors—particularly life sciences and technology—to align cross-practice opportunities.
- Build strong working relationships with senior stakeholders across global offices.
- Mentor and oversee the London-based Business Development Manager aligned to the practice.
- Significant experience in business development within a law firm or professional services environment.
- Knowledge of intellectual property litigation and the broader disputes landscape.
- Strategic and commercial mindset, with excellent project management and communication skills.
- Proven ability to work effectively with senior stakeholders across international teams.
- Experience in managing and developing high-performing team members.
