This is a career-defining opportunity for a seasoned life sciences strategy professional with a deep understanding of competitive intelligence and a proven ability to lead, shape, and deliver strategic insight that drives global brand and portfolio success.

In this leadership role, you will oversee multi-stakeholder CI engagements, guide internal teams, and act as a senior strategic advisor across a broad range of therapeutic areas. You will contribute directly to strategic planning, scenario development, and war-gaming for some of the most innovative and impactful therapies in development today.

Our client is known for its close collaboration with global pharma and biotech organisations, operating as a true extension of their CI and strategic planning functions. Their work is defined by analytical rigour, scientific depth, and commercial relevance—helping life sciences leaders navigate dynamic competitive landscapes from early pipeline to late lifecycle. With a reputation for excellence and a collaborative culture that empowers thought leadership, this is the ideal environment for a senior consultant ready to elevate their impact.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead global CI projects from end to end, including competitive landscape analysis, insight generation, and strategic scenario planning.
  • Advise senior pharmaceutical and biotech stakeholders on competitive threats, opportunity mapping, and portfolio strategy.
  • Oversee and mentor project teams, ensuring high-quality execution and professional development of junior consultants.
  • Deliver compelling client presentations and executive-level reporting that translate data into clear strategic implications.
  • Attend and analyse key industry conferences, reporting back real-time insights that inform client decision-making.
  • Contribute to business development efforts through proposal writing, capability showcases, and relationship-building with new and existing clients.
  • Drive innovation within the CI function, shaping methodologies and thought leadership aligned with client needs and market evolution.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
  • 5–8+ years’ experience in competitive intelligence, pharmaceutical consulting, or strategic insights, with a significant focus on the life sciences industry.
  • Advanced degree in a life sciences or healthcare-related discipline; MBA or PhD desirable.
  • Proven track record of leading high-impact CI initiatives and delivering strategic recommendations to senior stakeholders.
  • Experience managing multi-country projects and cross-functional internal teams in a consultancy or client-facing setting.
  • Strong understanding of key data sources and platforms (e.g., EvaluatePharma, GlobalData, Cortellis, clinicaltrials.gov).
  • Therapeutic area expertise in oncology, rare diseases, neuroscience, or immunology is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strategic mindset and high attention to detail.
  • A collaborative leader who thrives in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment and is motivated to build and scale best-in-class capabilities.

This is a rare opportunity to join a consultancy that is redefining the role of competitive intelligence in shaping commercial success and patient impact. If you’re ready to lead from the front and make a meaningful contribution to global life sciences strategy, we’d love to hear from you.
