Relief Manager

The Relief Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the contract, overseeing the designated relief team while providing essential support to the Operations Manager and Area Management Team.
Job Description
This role involves handling various administrative tasks and driving ongoing development to ensure the successful delivery of all service offerings.
A key part of the position is delivering accurate reports on financial and operational targets, ensuring transparency and effective tracking of performance.
The Relief Manager will also lead their team with confidence, building and maintaining strong relationships with all key stakeholders to foster collaboration and achieve shared goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Take personal responsibility for health and safety, leading by example
- Manage food safety issues and drive improvements as directed
- Ensure team compliance with food policies, including special dietary needs
- Support the delivery and monitoring of mandatory training
- Build and maintain positive client and colleague relationships
- Assist Operations Manager with monitoring and administration
- Ensure compliance with Company HR policies and procedures
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
- Level 3 Food Safety Certificate
- Supervisor experience in food and hospitality, ideally in school catering
- Strong presentation and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and use initiative
- Proven team management and leadership skills
- Proficient in Word, Excel, or similar software
- Commercial awareness with a focus on targets and flexibility
