The role
As HDI Global builds on its international programme (IP) capability, this role steps in as lead to foster and coordinate the global marketing & sales efforts for this core product.
The main mission is to drive the growth and success of HDI Global IPs by developing and implementing a strategic sales and marketing plan globally. This includes targeting global brokers and large corporate risk managers, building strong relationships as well supporting the delivery of Global marketing initiatives. The goal is to achieve sales targets, enhance the company’s value proposition, and position HDI Global IPs as a leader in the industry.
Key accountabilities
Developing and implementing a strategic sales & marketing plan:
Creating a comprehensive sales & marketing strategy for HDI Global IPs targeting global brokers as well as large corporate risk managers. The strategy would involve sharpening HDI Global’s IP value proposition, identifying further regional & country market potential, creating a client segmentation, and establishing effective sales & marketing channels.
Building and managing relationships:
Establish and maintain strong relationships with global brokers. This would involve regular communication and interaction (e.g., conferences, jour fixes), understanding their needs, and coordinating the provision of tailored solutions to meet their requirements.
Coordinating and fueling global marketing initiatives:
Develop and implement IP marketing campaigns, leveraging external & internal webinars, creating articles and thought leadership content. You would manage press clippings and media relations, developing and distributing newsletters, LinkedIn campaigns, and implementing e-mail marketing measures.
Collaborating with the global sales and IP community:
You would oversee and collaborate with the global sales & distribution community and provide guidance, support, and motivation to achieve IP sales targets. This would involve setting clear expectations, conducting performance evaluations, and providing ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance the team’s effectiveness. Furthermore, you would liaise with the IP community and functions to develop the IP sales & marketing strategy.
Monitoring market trends and competition:
Staying updated on market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments would be essential. This would enable you to identify opportunities for growth, anticipate challenges, and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
Collaborating with internal stakeholders:
Working closely with various internal departments such as international programs, captives, global marketing & sales to ensure alignment and effective execution of sales & marketing strategies.
Analysing sales data and reporting:
Regularly analysing sales data, tracking performance metrics, and preparing reports would be part of your responsibilities. This would help in evaluating the effectiveness of sales strategies, identifying areas for improvement, and making data-driven decisions.
Skills & experience
- Progressive experience in sales, business development, or related roles, preferably in the commercial insurance industry.
- Strong understanding of the multinational or international programme product and its market dynamics
- Experience in managing global markets and working with global brokers and large corporate clients across different geographies.
- Experience in working with global markets and managing international sales opera- tions is a plus.
- Prior leadership skills within a matrix organization, successfully aligning different per- spectives (e.g., local vs. global, different lines of business or functions)
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic thinking abilities with a data-driven approach.
- Multicultural experience and proficiency in different languages in addition to English
