We are looking for a Senior Digital Project Manager to join DWP in our Working Age Services and Network Infrastructure Services. You'll lead our team as we deliver user-focused solutions and key welfare reforms for claimants, landlords, and DWP agents.

What skills, knowledge and experience will you need?
- You're an experienced project manager with demonstrable history of taking full responsibility for the definition, documentation and successful completion of a number of large-scale complex projects.
- Those projects have used both internal and external suppliers.
- You ensure that effective project control, change control, risk management and testing processes are maintained, responding to what the data is telling you appropriately.
- Experience of managing complex external dependencies that have required significant planning and prioritising in order to ensure pace and quality of delivery is maintained.
- You communicate with others in a clear, honest and enthusiastic way in order to build trust, explaining complex issues in a way that is easy to understand and influencing senior level decision making.
- Experience in identifying appropriate development for both yourself and your team to improve delivery.
You and your role
As an experienced Senior Digital Project Manager, you will lead the end-to-end delivery of large-scale complex digital change in DWP. You'll lead the team to ensure project controls are in place, managing plans, risks, issues and dependencies to effective resolution.
You'll manage appropriate governance and reporting to Digital Directors, communicating and taking ownership of resolving complex issues while influencing decisions that require board level approval. You'll manage a varied stakeholder environment, setting the pace for delivery and working with internal teams and/or external suppliers to deliver successfully.
You'll manage team dynamics, coaching teams to improve flow, quality and ownership throughout the team. We're a friendly team, and everyone is driven to deliver for our users, but you will also manage conflict and help maintain our positive team culture.

Location: You'll join us in one of our brilliant digital hubs in Birmingham, Blackpool, Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle-upon-Tyne or Sheffield, whichever is most convenient for you.
Hybrid Working: We work a hybrid model - you'll spend some time working at home and some time collaborating face to face in a hub.
Pay: We offer competitive pay of up to £66,058.
Pension: You'll get a brilliant civil service pension with employer contributions worth 28.97%, worth up to £16,094 per year.
Holidays: A generous leave package starting at 26 days and rising to 31 days over time. You can also take up to 3 extra days off a month on flexi-time. You'll also get all the usual public holidays.
