The Opportunity:
Branta Recruitment is working on behalf of a respected FM service provider to recruit a skilled Commercial Gas Engineer. This is a mobile role covering commercial sites across Yorkshire, including schools, hospitals, offices, and retail properties.
You will be responsible for the service, maintenance, repair, and installation of a wide range of commercial gas appliances and systems. The ideal candidate will be ACS-qualified, customer-focused, and comfortable working independently on a mobile basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out servicing, fault-finding, and reactive repairs on commercial gas appliances and heating systems
- Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and statutory compliance checks
- Install and commission commercial boilers, heaters, and associated plant
- Work across schools, retail units, office buildings, healthcare, and other commercial settings
- Complete all job reports, certifications, and safety documentation accurately and promptly
- Participate in a rota-based call-out system (paid)
Requirements:
- ACS Commercial Gas qualifications, including: COCN1 or CODNCO1, ICPN1, TPCP1A, CIGA1, CDGA1
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a commercial gas engineering role
- Strong understanding of building services and compliance standards
- Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills
- Full UK Driving Licence essential
- Additional plumbing or HVAC knowledge advantageous
