The Role

As a Senior Commercial Litigation Solicitor, you will join a strong team handling a wide array of commercial disputes. Working closely with partners, you’ll manage cases from investigation through to resolution—whether by negotiation, mediation, or litigation. Ideal for a solicitor with energy, commercial awareness, and a client-first mindset.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a caseload of commercial litigation matters (e.g. contract disputes, shareholder issues, breach of warranty, professional negligence, debt recovery, property disputes)
  • Develop and manage relationships with corporate clients—offering clear, practical advice
  • Draft pleadings, statements, settlement agreements, and undertake legal research
  • Attend court hearings, mediations, and third-party meetings as required
  • Supervise junior fee-earners—review work, mentor trainees, and manage delegation
  • Maintain high client care and business development standards

Your Profile

Essential:

  • Qualified solicitor (SQE stage 2 or LPC+LPC route); admitted in England & Wales
  • Minimum 5 years’ PQE with a strong commercial litigation background
  • Experience in court advocacy, ADR processes, and complex legal drafting
  • Robust commercial awareness and able to advise across sectors
  • Excellent client communication and capable of managing expectations
  • Proven leadership, delegation, and mentoring abilities

Desirable:

  • Experience in property litigation and/or professional negligence
  • Exposure to international or cross-border commercial issues
  • A vested interest in building client relationships and contributing to firm growth
