I am working with a civil engineering/utilities specialist who is looking for an experienced Fire Safety Advisor to join the business. The candidate will be required to be a fire specialist and be able to work closely with the Fire Safety Manager. The ideal candidate will have strong fire knowledge and be a member of the IFSM, ideally with knowledge within an infrastructure environment or experience across a variety of industries, as this will cover construction, civil engineering, COMAH, among others.

The Fire Safety Manager will be responsible for:

  • Support the develop and implement a fire safety strategy
  • Deputise for the Fire Safety Manager when required
  • Be seen as the fire expert for the business and a point of contact for advice and guidance
  • Prepare and deliver regular reports for senior management
  • Ensure all work is compliant and adheres to fire safety regulations

The Fire Safety Manager will have:

  • 3 years of experience working in Fire Safety-focused position
  • Proven track record in fire safety management
  • Previous experience working in civil engineering or construction is a distinct advantage
  • Driving license
  • Strong communicator, both verbal and written
  • Strong stakeholder engagement
  • Membership to the Institute of Fire Safety Managers (MIFSM) or Membership to the Institute of Fire Engineers (MIFireE)
