Transport Supervisor Nights

Job Title: Transport First Line Manager Location: Normanton Contract: 6 Month Fixed Term covering long term sick (Possible Extension to permanent) Hours: Full-time, Nights (20:00-04:00) Salary: Up to £35,000 depending on experience   Overview: A fantastic opportunity has become available for a Transport First Line Manager to join a high-performing automotive logistics operation in Normanton. This role is ideal for a proactive, organised professional with a passion for developing people, driving high standards, and delivering customer-focused operational excellence.   Key Responsibilities: Ensure smooth daily transport operations, compliance with legal and safety standards, and delivery of KPIs. Provide a reliable, customer-first service while building strong internal relationships and adapting to evolving needs. Lead and develop a high-performing team through goal setting, coaching, appraisals, and effective performance management. Support business goals by aligning operations, driving improvements, and promoting clear communication across teams. Lead by example with a commitment to self-improvement and continuous development—for yourself and your team.  Key Requirements: Experience in a transport environment is essential. Supervisory or team management experience (desirable). Strong knowledge of EU Drivers’ Hours Regulations and Road Transport Directive. Solid understanding of fleet compliance practices. Ability to work independently and within a team. Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal. Proven track record of building and leading effective teams. High attention to detail with basic IT proficiency.  Qualifications: Minimum of high school / secondary education. Strong literacy and numeracy.
