Freight Operations Agent Events

Our client are a market leader in Events Shipping and have a new exciting opportunity for a Freight Operations Agent with experience of either export or import freight forwarding. This could be a new opportunity and challenge for someone withgeneral freight forwarding ops experience. Suit someone with an interest for music/live events who is looking to move into the exciting world of live event logistics.

Main purpose of the Freight Operations Agent Events

Responsible for coordinating the movement of goods and materials, ensuring they are transported efficiently and safely from one location to another. Their primary purpose is to oversee the logistics involved in shipping and receiving freight, including scheduling shipments, coordinating with carriers and suppliers, tracking shipments in transit, and resolving any issues that may arise during the transportation process. They will play a crucial role in maintaining supply chain efficiency and meeting customer demands by ensuring that goods are delivered on time and in good condition. Additionally, freight operations operators may also be involved in managing documentation, such as bills of lading and customs paperwork, and optimizing transportation routes to minimize costs and maximize efficiency.

Main duties for the Freight Operations Agent – Events

Allmodesoftransportairimport/export,oceanimport/export,roadimport/export.

Customs predominantly clear carnets but also permanent and temporary imports/exports. Knowledge of ASM Customs system would bepreferable.

Knowledge ofCDS

Be able to cut exportAWBs.

Provide quotes tocustomers.

Providehighcustomerservicelevels,chaseforpostflightsandPODs,etc

Responsible for inputting cost accruals and invoicing jobs toclients

Weekend / out of hours work required with the job will be paidfor.

Full, clean driving licencerequired

Be able to work with Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Wordprograms

Involves some physicalwork.

Employment Terms for the Freight Operations Agent Events

Mon- Friday 9-5.30 (office based 5 days per week)

£30-40k DOE

Pension & Healthcare (After Probation)

25 days hols plus BH

1 weekend cover in 6 (paid)

Overtime paid when required
