Travelex is currently undertaking a large Finance Transformation programme where we are implementing Oracle Fusion ERP and Oracle EPM modules on the latest SAAS Cloud based technologies to replace all of our heritage applications and move our global finance teams to one end to end Oracle Cloud ERPM platform.
The role requires designing, developing and managing Reporting solutions within Fusion REPORTING, EPM, Fusion Data Intelligence and Analytics and other Reporting solutions that exist within the Travelex Group. The role requires expertise in understanding functional businesses and interpreting reporting requirements to deliver solutions that utilise Oracle Reporting tools and data analysis. The Reporting lead ensures data accuracy, enhances Reporting capabilities and provides leadership in creating a robust Reporting framework that supports all business functions.
The individual will closely work with business teams to understand Reporting needs, develop standardized and custom reports and provide business objectives as well as upskilling teams to self-serve future or custom reports. The role requires a strong understanding of Reporting tools including OTBI, BI publisher and Smart View along with data analysis, report optimization and data governance. The role will need to understand the fundamentals of all aspects of complex multi-currency, multi-company accounting systems and maintain a high level of REPORTING/HCM applications functional knowledge (especially in the areas of sub ledger, GL and EPM REPORTING) as well as strong Functional and Technical knowledge in all aspects of Oracle's REPORTING technology.
Key Responsibilities
- As a core member of the Finance transformation team, you will be responsible for influencing, guiding and educating the business in how to utilise Oracle reporting tools and getting better data insights.
- Engage and guide a number of Finance stakeholders through the process to ensure the appropriate strategic direction is well understood and documented.
- Provides expert financial analysis and recommendations to senior management on business decisions related to REPORTING, and the strategic direction as required.
- Provide training and support to help build out a new Shared Services Oracle Reporting Team Capability (off-shore).
- Support in the build out of processes, procedures, and ensure that appropriate resources are in place and tested to ensure services are delivered to agreed service levels.
- Ensure the team undertakes proactive troubleshooting and root cause analysis of issues implementing preventative measures as appropriate.
- Reviews and approves Change Requests with impact in the REPORTING space.
- Provide leadership and support to testing activities (e.g. System, Integration and User Acceptance).
- Support ad-hoc projects, e.g. acquisition/ divestment/ joint venture-related activities.
- Supports and is knowledgeable on all interfaces, integrations and data models that relate to REPORTING working closely with global technology teams.
- Maintain, support and provide guidance to peers on complex application configuration activities.
Skills and Experience
- Relevant tertiary education in an I.T. or Finance or related discipline.
- Experience in the fundamentals of all aspects of complex multi-currency, multi-company accounting.
- Accredited with Oracle Certified Professional or similar.
- Must have hands-on functional and technical capability to interpret business requirements into reporting requirements.
- Minimum 10 years of working experience with Oracle REPORTING technology.
- Exposure to Oracle Fusion cloud and Oracle EPM (PBCS, FCCS and PMCS) implementations in the context of how they relate to REPORTING.
- Full understanding of Oracle applications and architecture including end to end data and reporting flows through ERP and EPM applications.
