The Opportunity

This role presents an exciting chance to help build and maintain the scalable infrastructure behind our next-generation Web3 trading tools. As a Junior DevSecOps Engineer, you will contribute to ensuring the availability, performance, and security of real-time dashboards, trading terminals, and data visualisation platforms. Working alongside other driven engineers, you\’ll gain valuable hands-on experience in delivering seamless and secure user experiences in the rapidly evolving cryptocurrency space.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor System Security: Learn how to monitor system activity and logs to detect unusual behaviour or potential security threats, gaining hands-on experience in identifying and responding to security incidents.
• Support Cloud Security Implementation: Collaborate with the engineering team to understand and implement secure cloud configurations, learning industry best practices for maintaining cloud security.
• Contribute to Secure Software Development: Work with developers to understand secure coding principles and help implement them, gaining experience in how to identify and prevent vulnerabilities in software.
• Promote Security Awareness: Learn how to advocate for security best practices within the team, contributing to a culture of security by sharing knowledge and supporting team-wide security initiatives.
• Stay Informed on Security Trends: Continuously develop your knowledge of emerging security threats and trends, applying what you learn to improve security measures and protect our systems.

Qualifications:

• Solid Foundation in IT: A strong understanding of fundamental IT concepts, including Linux operating systems and basic networking, is essential for this role.
• Cloud Experience (Preferred but Not Required): Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP is a plus. However, we\’re open to training motivated candidates with a keen interest in cybersecurity and cloud technologies.
• Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to identifying and troubleshooting potential security issues are crucial for success.
