JOB PURPOSE: To support the Director of Property in all property, H&S and security matters on a mainly retail estate. The role will encompass a wide range of general practice activities including estate and asset management, acquisitions and cold-starts, leasehold and maintenance matters, and strategic property advice.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with site identification and acquisition of both off and on market opportunities
- Negotiate lease renewals, rent reviews and associated professional work
- Build and maintain relationships with landlords, tenants, agents and key external partners
- Support acquisitions and store development projects, from legal processes to on-the-ground execution
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure the estate supports operational excellence and commercial success
- Oversee planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring our environments are safe, accessible and compliant
- Identify and act on opportunities for estate rationalisation, expansion and value creation
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Driving licence
- Flexible and adaptable. Comfortable with a varied workload and the ability to travel nationally with occasional overnight stays
- A sound understanding of UK property law
- Good project management, planning and organisational skills
- Excellent communication skills
- RICS qualified (or working towards it)
