Branta Recruitment is currently recruiting for a skilled and qualified Mobile Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Engineer to join a leading facilities management team based in Newcastle upon Tyne. This is an exciting opportunity to work across a range of commercial sites throughout the North East, delivering high-quality maintenance, servicing, and repair of air conditioning and refrigeration systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs across a variety of commercial systems.
- Service and maintain HVAC systems including: Split systems, VRV/VRF systems, Chillers.
- Clean coils, replace filters, and perform system checks to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults efficiently.
- Carry out inspections and make recommendations for system improvements.
- Support complex installations or upgrades in collaboration with engineers and subcontractors.
- Ensure full compliance with F-Gas regulations and site-specific health and safety standards.
Key Requirements
- F-Gas Category 1 certification (essential).
- Proven experience in a mobile HVAC or air conditioning engineer role.
- Competence in servicing industrial cooling units.
- Strong technical knowledge of air conditioning and refrigeration systems.
- Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
- Confident working independently and managing your own workload.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Full UK driving licence (essential).
