Salary: £20.51 - £24.72 per hour plus holiday pay (dependent on skills, qualifications and experience)

The Role: Are you passionate about teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL)? Do you have the skills to inspire and motivate learners from diverse backgrounds? Wiltshire College & University Centre is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Variable Hours Lecturer in ESOL to join our dynamic team. As a Lecturer in ESOL, you will play a key role in supporting adult learners in developing their English language skills for everyday life, employment, and further education. You'll deliver engaging and interactive lessons that promote language acquisition, cultural understanding, and confidence-building.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality ESOL sessions tailored to students' individual needs and learning styles.
  • Assess and track learners' progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance to help them achieve their goals.
  • Support students from diverse backgrounds, fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
  • Contribute to curriculum development, ensuring that courses remain relevant and effective in meeting learner needs.

You:

  • A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent).
  • A Level 5 (or above) ESOL/TEFL qualification is highly desirable.
  • Experience in teaching ESOL to adults in a Further Education or community setting.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a focus on student-centred learning.
  • A commitment to inclusivity, with the ability to engage and support learners from a range of backgrounds and abilities.
  • Flexibility to work variable hours, including evenings or weekends if required.
