My client has an exciting opportunity for a candidate with strong literacy and numeracy skills to join a supportive law firm in Chichester.

Trainee Legal Cashier Duties:

  • Assisting with all aspects of the cashiering function.
  • Processing financial transactions relating to client matters in a timely manner and in accordance with the SRA Accounts Rules.
  • Managing and reconciling supplier invoices and credit notes, ensuring invoices are paid within agreed terms.
  • Preparing payment runs, including BACS transfers and cheque payments.
  • Processing petty cash.

Archiving Duties:

  • To archive files in accordance with the firm's policies and regulatory requirements.
  • To maintain our client database in connection with archived files.
  • To liaise with fee earners, external storage, and secure shredding companies in relation to file collection, retrieval, and destruction.

Desired skills and experience:

  • Previous experience working in a professional office environment with a keen interest in Legal Cashier work.
  • Strong communication.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong IT skills with knowledge of working with Microsoft Word and Outlook.
