Are you looking to kick start your career in an exciting industry? Keen to work for a company that has been nationally recognised for their apprenticeship programme? This role will be based at our London branch in Teddington. However, we have teams local to Central London so you will not have to travel to the office regularly. You will only need to attend the Teddington office for interview and potentially a training/induction days if successful.

If you’re passionate about learning lifelong skills working as part of an experienced team and having the opportunity to earn whilst you train towards NVQ qualifications, then we want to hear from you! Bagnalls have been an employer of apprentices for over 120 years, so we have the experience and the passion to guide you all the way.

The Training: As a painting and decorating apprentice, you’ll be learning from your team of expert colleagues, attending college training, and getting the chance to practice what you have learned on the job. You’ll also get to spend time in our bespoke Training Academy under the guidance of expert tutors whose purpose will be to give you all the tools required for you to excel in your new career.

Our apprenticeship rates are in line with the Construction Industry Joint Council (CIJC) Working Rule Agreement:

  • Year one: £294.45 per week
  • Year two: £320.97 per week, or the National Minimum Wage for age.
  • Year three: £374.40-£478.92 per week, dependent on college progress.

Following completion of the Advanced Apprenticeship course, plus sufficient time to apply experience on-site (normally up to one year after completion), our basic pay is £598.26 per week (£31,110 per annum). We also offer opportunities to earn a bonus.

Kit and Equipment: Here at Bagnalls, we believe along with the best training you also need the best quality kit and equipment. That is why all our Apprentices and staff receive everything they will need to become masters in their craft free of charge. This includes:

  • A fully stocked tool bag on day 1 of your Painting and Decorating apprenticeship.
  • Branded workwear including T-Shirts and overalls.
  • Personal protective equipment including safety boots and hard hat.
