The Opportunity
Are you looking to take your HGV driving career to the next level? Whether you’re an experienced Tipper Driver or new to the field, we’ll fully support your development and help you transition from HGV to Tipper driving with full training provided! We have a brand new vacancy for HGV Driver to join our expanding Logistic Services Holcim team based out of Bardon Hill, Coalville. We are a part of Holcim UK and are a major supplier of quality materials and services to the construction industry including primary and recycled aggregates, topsoil and bulk earth moving.
This is a casual role working mostly day shifts and occasional nights as cover when required. The company expects that as a professional HGV driver you will uphold the high standards set by the company and to run the truck in an effective manner and minimise damage to the vehicle.
Your growth doesn’t need to stop, we’ll continue to support your career through higher licence qualifications and courses into assessing and training all furthering your career progression.
Elements of the role include:
- Delivery of primary and recycled aggregate and asphalt
- To keep vehicles clean and tidy at all times
- Operate vehicles within the law and be courteous and mindful of other road users
- Have due regard for safe vehicle operation on the road and at the loading and delivery point
- Perform daily vehicle checks as per instructions
- Load Tachograph with chart or card
- Load vehicles in accordance with planners instructions
- Complete deliveries to addresses according to the delivery note
