Our client, a market-leading global business with a significant presence in Ayrshire, is seeking a highly capable and driven Finance Analyst to join their high-performing team. This role requires a confident and analytical finance professional with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting. You will be expected to challenge figures, push back where necessary, and contribute proactively to business-critical decisions. Strong Excel skills are essential, along with a high level of financial acumen and the ability to work with large, complex datasets.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare complex and detailed financial performance reports for both European and US Corporate stakeholders.
- Consolidate and report on large volumes of data, using advanced Excel and IT skills.
- Provide financial support to business functions, identifying and highlighting areas of financial impact.
- Highlight significant financial issues to senior finance leadership.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of business performance reporting, including:
- Labour and overhead performance
- Budget and forecast analysis
- Supply chain cost performance
- Project cost/benefit appraisal
- Degree qualified with relevant finance experience.
- Accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or currently studying. (will also consider QBE)
- Proven experience in budgeting and forecasting.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Advanced Excel capability is essential.
- Proficient in SAP or similar ERP systems.
- Proactive, analytical and confident in challenging assumptions and figures.
- Strong relationship management and influencing skills.
