Senior Events Manager
1 Year Contract | Up to £56,500 | Hybrid Working
Are you an experienced events professional with a proven track record of delivering a diverse portfolio of events and managing multiple stakeholders? This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established, non-profit organisation at the forefront of cultural, networking, and business events that help ensure London remains a thriving hub for businesses, residents, and visitors.
The Role:
Working closely with corporate clients, cultural partners, and local authorities, you will lead the delivery of up to 70 events annually. You will collaborate with the marketing team to strengthen brand awareness and contribute to the wider communications strategy.
You will also have one direct report, an Events Officer, providing you with valuable support in this fast-paced, varied role where excellent organisational and interpersonal skills are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end planning, coordination, and delivery of a broad range of events.
- Manage relationships with a wide range of stakeholders including corporate clients, local authorities, and cultural organisations.
- Oversee a significant events budget, ensuring effective financial management and value for money.
- Work closely with the marketing team on brand alignment and promotional strategies.
- Support corporate social responsibility projects, contributing to the organisation’s wider strategic objectives.
- Attend and contribute to Board meetings, representing the events function and sharing key updates.
- Provide leadership and coaching to the Events Officer to ensure high performance and professional development.
- Flexibility to attend events outside standard working hours as required.
The Candidate:
- Degree educated, ideally in Events Management or a related field.
- Substantial experience in events management across a wide variety of formats.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience working with local authorities, corporate clients, and cultural/community organisations.
- Financially astute with experience managing significant event budgets.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and organisational skills.
- Able to commit to a 1-year contract, starting in July.
