The Role:
- Working closely with corporate clients, cultural partners, and local authorities, you will lead the delivery of up to 70 events annually.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to strengthen brand awareness and contribute to the wider communications strategy.
- Have one direct report, an Events Officer, providing valuable support in this fast-paced, varied role where excellent organisational and interpersonal skills are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end planning, coordination, and delivery of a broad range of events.
- Manage relationships with a wide range of stakeholders including corporate clients, local authorities, and cultural organisations.
- Oversee a significant events budget, ensuring effective financial management and value for money.
- Work closely with the marketing team on brand alignment and promotional strategies.
- Support corporate social responsibility projects, contributing to the organisation’s wider strategic objectives.
- Attend and contribute to Board meetings, representing the events function and sharing key updates.
- Provide leadership and coaching to the Events Officer to ensure high performance and professional development.
- Flexibility to attend events outside standard working hours as required.
The Candidate:
- Degree educated, ideally in Events Management or a related field.
- Substantial experience in events management across a wide variety of formats.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience working with local authorities, corporate clients, and cultural/community organisations.
- Financially astute with experience managing significant event budgets.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and organisational skills.
- Able to commit to a 1-year contract, starting in July.
