Days/Hours: Monday to Friday, 9.00am – 5.00pm
The responsibilities of the Events Assistant include:
- Working within the Advancement and Alumni Relations Team supporting the Head of Advancement and Alumni Events
- Stewarding high net worth donors and supporters
- Administering the invitation lists for all events during this period and monitoring the inbox
- Responding to every email RSVP as required
- Sending out confirmation emails for each event
- Data entry onto Raiser’s Edge
- Logging guest names, dietary requirements etc. if required
- Assisting with events mailings/envelope stuffing
- Acting as Events Assistant over this period and supporting the team in the run up and on the day of the event, including organising a welcome desk, welcoming guests, checking on supplies, ordering name badges, distributing t-shirts/branded items etc.
The ideal Events Assistant will have:
- Previous experience in the same or similar role
- Working knowledge of Raisers Edge
- The ability to act with considerable tact and discretion in dealing with highly confidential information
- Initiative when handling the day-to-day operations of the office
- Ability and willingness to work flexible hours and evenings/weekends if necessary
- Lots of common sense
- Scrupulous attention to detail
