Days/Hours: Monday to Friday, 9.00am – 5.00pm

The responsibilities of the Events Assistant:

  • Work within the Advancement and Alumni Relations Team supporting the Head of Advancement and Alumni Events
  • Work in a small team who steward our clients high net worth donors and supporters
  • Administer the invitation lists for all events during this period and monitor the inbox
  • Responding to every email RSVP as required
  • Send out confirmation emails for each event
  • Data entry onto Raiser’s Edge
  • Log guest names, dietary requirements etc. if required
  • Assistance with events mailings/envelope stuffing
  • Act as Events Assistant over this period and able to do work to support the team in the run up and on the day of the event - anything from organising a welcome desk, welcoming guests, checking on supplies, ordering name badges, distributing tee shirts/branded items etc.

The ideal Events Assistant will have:

  • Previous experience in the same or similar role
  • Working knowledge of Raisers Edge
  • The ability to act with considerable tact and discretion in dealing with highly confidential information
  • Initiative when handling the day-to-day operations of the office
  • Ability and willingness to work flexible hours and evenings/weekends if necessary
  • Lots of common sense
  • Scrupulous attention to detail!
