Seeking a proactive and knowledgeable Sustainability Manager to join a leading specialist enabling works contractor based in central London (zone 1). With a strong portfolio of complex demolition, groundworks, and structural alterations projects across the capital, this role is key to driving their sustainability strategy and ensuring they meet and exceed environmental targets.

Main responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement sustainability initiatives across multiple projects
  • Ensure compliance with environmental legislation and client sustainability requirements, particularly recycling
  • Lead carbon reporting, waste reduction, and circular economy practices
  • Collaborate with project teams to embed sustainable practices in pre-construction and delivery phases
  • Drive innovation in sustainable construction methods and materials

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a sustainability role within construction, ideally on enabling or demolition projects
  • Strong knowledge of BREEAM, LEED, WELL, and other frameworks
  • Familiarity with London-specific environmental standards and planning conditions
