I am currently recruiting for an Automation Engineer to work for a leading engineering organisation based in Oxfordshire. Salary up to £50,000 + Benefits.
The organisation has been established for many years and is seen as an expert within the domain they operate in. They have multiple locations throughout the UK and invest heavily into their factories, ensuring they have the latest and best equipment to manufacture their products.
To support the growth of the business and manage the amount of work they now have, there is a need to appoint another Automation Engineer on a permanent basis.
In this role as an Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Troubleshooting
- Providing planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
- Performing reactive maintenance
- Repairing high-level faults to support the maintenance team on the automated production lines
You will also be expected to demonstrate strong attention to detail by identifying engineering improvements and helping to organise and implement them within the business.
Essential Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years experience as an Automation Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, Electrical & Controls Engineer or similar
- Knowledge of PLCs (able to search inputs and outputs)
- Experience working on automated production lines / automated equipment
Desirable Requirements:
- Knowledge of Mechanical Components
- Experience programming PLCs
