Engineer

Job Title: Freelance Site Engineer – Setting Out (1-2 Days/Week)
Location: Birmingham
Start Date: ASAP

The Opportunity:

We\’re looking for a reliable and experienced Site Engineer to assist with setting out for bricklaying works on a part-time basis – 1 to 2 days per week, starting immediately. Must have own kit.

You\’ll be supporting a residential or commercial build, working closely with the site team to ensure accurate setting out and measurements. This is a great opportunity for an engineer looking to top up their workload with a flexible, short-term commitment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Setting out for bricklayers and blockwork
• Providing clear and accurate points and levels on site
• Liaising with the site manager and subcontractors to ensure works follow plans
• Ensuring equipment is calibrated and used correctly
• Recording as-built information as required

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Setting Out / Site Engineer
• Must have own kit (total station, tripod, laptop/software etc.)
• Strong knowledge of setting out for brickwork
• Reliable and able to work independently
• CSCS card (preferred)
