Main Purpose of the Role
The Manufacturing Co-Ordinator is responsible for scheduling and monitoring production activities to ensure efficient use of resources and timely fulfilment of customer orders. The role includes tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), analysing trends, and identifying areas for operational improvement. The Manufacturing Co-Ordinator works closely with cross-functional teams to support planning accuracy, production flow, and service levels.
Scope of the Role
This role ensures the successful execution of production plans aligned with company objectives and supports the business in meeting key KPIs for delivery performance, quality, and efficiency.
Primary Objectives
- Plan and schedule new sales orders into the production system to optimise resource utilisation and on-time delivery.
- Monitor production KPIs (e.g., On-Time In-Full, schedule adherence, efficiency, downtime).
- Analyse KPI trends to identify and suggest process improvements in production workflows.
- Assist in forecasting and capacity planning based on sales pipeline and operational constraints.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date production records, schedules, and reports.
- Collaborate with production, operations, and sales teams to align manufacturing output with customer requirements.
- Support issue resolution during production by coordinating across relevant departments.
- Manage and continuously improve production planning tools and reporting dashboards.
- Help track production-related costs and suggest cost-saving opportunities.
- Demonstrate leadership by consistently upholding and modelling the highest standards of safety, quality and workplace behaviour, setting a positive example for others to follow.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties or tasks as requested by the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to support operational needs and business objectives.

- Shipping Efficiency: On-Time In-Full (OTIF): Percentage of customer orders completed and shipped on time and in full.
- Schedule Adherence: Percentage of production activities completed as planned.
- Production Throughput: Number of units planned to produce within a defined timeframe.
- First-Time Quality: Percentage of products manufactured without rework or defects.
- Downtime: Total unplanned stoppages in production lines and root cause identification.
- KPI Reporting Accuracy: Timeliness and reliability of reported metrics to management.
Secondary Objectives
- Support inventory control through accurate planning and alignment of raw material availability.
- Maintain clear and concise planning documentation.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to streamline production processes.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience Required for Role
- Minimum 5 years of experience in production or planning administration.
